Darlene Frances (Poole) Sandstrom, age 71. Died on July 8, 2020 in Sandy, UT. She was born on May 26, 1949 in Alturas, CA to Edna and Roy Poole.

She married John Gerald Sandstrom on October 23, 1972 and gladly divorced him in 1974. Darlene lived mainly by herself for a good portion of her life and lived a life of care through volunteering and working as a CNA. She has always been a passionate individual and loved and cared for many. Including friends and those friends turned into close family. Watching these kids and becoming "Grandma Darlene" to them as well as to her great grandkids. Darlene is a loveable wonderful lady and yes she was also just as stubborn. She knew what she wanted and how she wanted things, she also lit up every time she saw her grandkids and her great grandkids and had a very close bond with them.

She is survived by her cousin Jerry, adopted grandchildren, Christina, John (Alita) and Stephanie (Casey Jerome) Mullins, Sara, Kylie, Anna (Paul) and Maria Campbell. Her adopted daughters Myrlene (Sean) Mullins and Jennifer Marrs. Her great grandkids Adelaide, Evalyn, Audriana and Daniella.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, friends and her many cats she took care of over the years.

Funeral services will be held on July 17, 2020 starting with the viewing at 10:00AM and graveside services starting at 12:00PM. Interment will be at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery located at: 3115 East 7800 South Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121
