James "Jim" Edward Taylor

Our beloved Son, Brother,Husband,Son in-law, Father, Uncle, Papa, Great-Grandpa and friend to most that new him. Jim passed away peacefully in his home with his wife Kathy and dog Honey on his daughter Candi’s Birthday. Jim fought a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis and leukemia. Jim was the son of Earl and Marion Taylor, the sixth child of twelve. Born and raised in Cairo Illinois until the age of 16. Jim came to the Weber Basin Job Core to get out of poverty and to learn job skills, and important life skills. While in Job Core, Jim received his certification in welding. After graduating from Job Core, Jim moved to Salt Lake City, where he met his wife Kathy at a mutual friends house. Together for 51 yrs, they raised 2 children and Kathy’s little brother that was only 3 months older than there son Tony, and 2 yrs older than their daughter Candi. Jim was a welder by trade, but was a man of many skills. He worked for Alan Steel Co. and Cameron Clegg an company along with owning and operating his own business Just-A-Shed for over 20 years as well as handyman work. Jim’s favorite past time was fishing for mostly catfish in his many fishing boats at many different lakes across Ed Utah.
