Joshua Daniel Morgan, treasured father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away prematurely on August 3, 2021. Josh was born on March 1, 1998, in Provo, Utah to Daniel Morgan and Annette Chynoweth. He grew up in Orem and Santaquin, Utah and graduated from Payson High School in 2016. He chose to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and share his testimony with the wonderful people in the North Carolina Charlotte Mission. When he returned from his mission, he married Allison Hunt in the Payson temple. While they were married, they had two beautiful boys, Bridger Caleb (2 years) and Miles Joshua (4 months).
Josh decided to attend Southern Utah University where he pursued many different degrees before settling on a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies, with a minor in Outdoor Recreation/Parks & Tourism. Josh loved the outdoors and enjoyed doing anything active. He worked many jobs over the years, learning a variety of skills, and gaining experience in many areas, adding to a long list of talents. At the time of his death, he was working an internship with the National Forest Service in preparation for his dream career. Josh loved music and movies and spending time with his family. He had a strong testimony of the Savior and His gospel which he taught continuously to his sons, Bridger and Miles. Josh’s boys were his pride and joy and he enjoyed every moment he spent with them. Josh was a friend and support to everyone around him. He will be dearly and sorely missed.
Josh is proceeded in death by his younger stillborn brother, Enoch, who also died on August 3, in 2005, his grandfather Joseph Morgan III, and his aunt Melanie Bowen. We know they are taking good care of Josh for us today. He is survived by his parents- Dan & Ann Morgan, his siblings- Katie (Jason Torrie), Kelsie (Josh Peterson), Kyrstie (Steven Pugh), Caleb, Andrew, Kathy, and Nathan, his sons- Bridger and Miles, and their mother- Allison, as well as many loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.
