Arthur James Olmore, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully went to be with our Lord and Savior on May 30, 2026. Born on June 14, 1942, in Burbank, California, Jim was a beacon of strength, kindness, and dedication to his family and friends throughout his 83 years.

Jim was the beloved son of the late Arthur and Dorothy Olmore, from whom he inherited a deep sense of love for his family, integrity and service. After graduating from Birmingham High School in Van Nuys, California, class of 1960, Jim went on to Los Angeles Valley College and later enlisted in the California National Guard to serve his country with honor as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army for four years. He then continued his commitment to public service and joined the Los Angeles Police Department in 1964 holding a distinguished 32 year career, where he served as a Sergeant II in the Air Support Division, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

On April 5, 1965, Jim married the love of his life, Colleen, in a union that spanned over six decades. Together, they built a loving family and shared countless memories. Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Colleen, and their two sons, James and David, who were the pride and joy of his life. His legacy continues through his five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom carry forward his values of love, strength, compassion and faith in the Lord.

Jim was a man who lived his life with unwavering dedication to his family and community. His warmth and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love and service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Dorothy, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.

A celebration of life service to honor Jim’s life will be held on September 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Spilsbury Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 25 N 2000 W, Hurricane, UT 84737.

Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Jim are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable man who lived a life of purpose and integrity.

Jim will be forever missed but never forgotten, as he lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. May his soul rest in eternal peace in the arms of Jesus.
