Our Father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, Brad Ralph Sorensen, passed from this earthly life January 17, 2022 after a 31/2 year battle with cancer. Brad was born April 23, 1953 in Heber City to Ralph B. Sorensen and Colleen Georgia Pitts. He is preceded in death by his mother, father and grandparents. Brad grew up on the family dairy farm in Midway assisting with all the chores essential to that lifestyle. He loved to snow and water ski and was skilled at both. Most of all Brad loved the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing with his grand-fathers, father, brothers and cousins.
Brad was a quiet, peaceful and simple man and was loved for these traits. He was a master craftsman with a welder which he learned from his father. In his adult life he worked as a specialty welder in many of the 50 states.
Brad graduated from Wasatch High School in the class of 1971. He then attended trade school at Trade Tech in Orem. Brad married Rosalee Gillette in December of 1973. They had 3 beautiful children; Misty, JB, and Neil. He and Rose later divorced.
He was a friend to all and had many good and dear friends whom he loved and respected. He was excited to attend his 50th High School Reunion this past September and associate with many of his life-long friends. Brad lived with his good friend Scott Manz during his illness for the last 2 years in Spokane Washington. Brad's family would like to publicly thank Scott for his tender care and support during Brad's illness.
