Bradley (Brad) Bruce Bloom 1935-2021, Sandy, Utah
Our most beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend returned to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ on October 30, 2021 at the age of 86. Bradley was born on August 22, 1935 in Boise, ID to Grace Alice and Floyd Bradley Bloom. After serving a mission in New England, Brad was speaking at his mission homecoming in Boise, ID, where Jeannie was in attendance as she was attending Boise State College at the time, when she saw Brad speaking, she asked a friend to introduce them as she was very impressed by this young man. Later that day Brad drove Jeannie home which was only three houses away from the church. Soon after, they both returned to BYU where Brad graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and one year later Brad asked Flora (Jeannie) Jackson to marry him. They were married on August 24th, 1959. Brad and Jeannie enjoyed raising a family together. Their desire in life was to love, provide for, and protect their six precious children. Five beautiful daughters and then finally came their only son. Brad particularly enjoyed the mountains, especially when the whole family would gather for picnics and outings. He loved watching BYU football, riding the alpine slide, and always attended kid’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. Brad worked as an Insurance Adjustor most of his life, retiring in 2008, shortly after he retired, he served a couples LDS mission with his wife Jeannie to the Johannesburg, South Africa mission. He was a faithful lifetime member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. Brad was a devoted member who held many callings in the church which he served diligently. He had a deep and abiding testimony of Jesus Christ. Brad was a caring man, kind, wise, extremely hard working, smart, humble and generous. He enriched the many lives of those with whom he came into contact with.
