On October 7th, 2026, Brock Michael Elwood died unexpectedly at his home in East Layton. Brock left this world after a relentless battle with addiction. He might have lost this battle but is a fearless warrior at heart. His love for life was a light in this dark world and can now be free from the pain.
Brock was born on January 5th, 2004, in Ogden, Utah. He lived was raised in East Layton, where he enjoyed playing sports and skateboarding. He attended Layton High School.
Brock was fearless and funny, outgoing and outrageous, and larger than life. He was a daredevil and an adrenaline junkie. To truly know him was to have at least one video of him performing a dangerous stunt or prank. He loved his family fiercely, especially his brother Jagger who was his ride or die, his sister Justine who he had a deep connection with, and he adored his little sisters Scarlett and Vivienne and was very protective of them. Brock loved his mother and did not deny being a mama’s boy. His mother’s battle to keep him safe was a courageous journey that she will never regret. Sometimes it is just not enough. Brock loved designer clothes, working out, and adventuring in the mountains by his home. A born entrepreneur, he had many talents and big dreams. He wanted to pursue a music career and to be a luxury brand ambassador. Making music was life to him, his talent exceeded and touched the few he let into that world. A powerful gift that he kept to himself. Perhaps more than anywhere else, he worked wizardry in the kitchen and was peerless in his understanding of the possibilities of peanut butter.
“A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself. Joseph Campbell”
Brock brought light and color everywhere with him. His laugh was contagious and his smile lit up a room. Everyone who met him was captivated by his presence--fiercely loyal, kind, thoughtful, and unbelievably funny. Life will never be the same without him on this earth.
Brock is survived by his loving mother, Daphne Felley, and stepfather, Michael Felley; his sister Justine and her spouse, Jarrod Barben; his brother, Jagger, and Shayna Emerson; his niece, Mila; his sisters, Scarlett and Vivienne; and Paris, Brocky, and Brielle Felley. He was proceeded in death by his father Chad Elwood.
He is also survived by his loving grandparents, Rod and Jill Moore, and his step grandmother, Elisa Felley. He was surrounded by a large family of loving people who wanted the best for Brock.
Forever cherished and never forgotten, Brock is also survived by his forever friend, Romeo (Squeeps)
