Carol Ann Wright Wailes

November 22, 1970 - August 2, 2021 (Age 50)

On Monday, August 2nd, 2021, our beautiful Carol Ann Wright Wailes passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Carol was born on Sunday, November 22nd, 1970 in Woods Cross, Utah to Hal and Shirley Ann Wright. This is where she spent her childhood and young adult years. As a child, Carol had the nickname Kapookie given to her by her father, Hal Wright. Carol graduated from Woods Cross High School in 1989.

Carol was married to her first husband Abraham Y. Lincoln from 1995 to 2014. They spent these years raising their three children - Tashelle Wright, Teneisa Lincoln, and Tasha Lincoln.

In July of 2018, she married Collin A. Wailes.

Like her mom Shirley, Carol was a fun loving extrovert. She would make friends everywhere she went. Her hobbies include: playing with her three beautiful grandkids, bowling with her awesome team and for fun, going to yard sales and thrift stores, travelling, karaoke, Bunko (a dice game), and family game nights.

Countless qualities can be used to describe Carol. She was selfless, generous, caring, and kind. She was witty and funny with a contagious laugh. She would give to family, friends and even strangers, even when she didn’t have much to give. She was forgiving and would go above and beyond to bring people together and make people feel special.

Carol was an extremely hard working individual and passionate about her career. In her most recent position, she expressed joy working in human resources and being able to interview and hire caring and diverse people. She loved her team and enjoyed advocating for those on her team and beyond.

She is Survived by her father Hal Wright and wife Jean Wright; brother John Wright; three daughters - Tashelle Wright, Teneisa Lincoln, and Tasha Lincoln; three grandchildren Colby Wright, Kyrie Moses, and Ivyana Moses; husband Collin A. Wailes and step son Robert Wailes. She is also survived by two nieces and one nephew - Nicole Wright Abel, Charla Davis & Wayne Wright. She is Preceded in death by her mother Shirley Ann Wright Coleman and her sister Joan Wright Davis.

Carol was a courageous organ donor, whose life saved two others and her life will contribute to research on heart disease and diseases affecting the eyes.

Carol is one in a million and will forever be missed. Her sudden and unexpected passing has left us heartbroken, but our hearts and minds are comforted knowing she is with her mother Shirley and sister Joan. We find strength knowing she is no longer suffering and in pain. Heaven gained a beautiful Angel.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic and other variants, masks are recommended. Carol’s daughters will provide these for those who would like one.
