Carol Lorraine Stoddart Tucker

Jun 18, 1943 Aug 22, 2025

On August 22, 2025, the world lost a beautiful, humble, and charitable woman. She returned to her heavenly home from natural causes. Carol Lorraine Stoddart was born on June 18, 1943. She was the 2nd of 10 children born to Marcella and Cleve Stoddart. Surrounded by 1 sister and 8 brothers, she grew up in humble circumstances directly across from the railroad tracks in Pocatello, Idaho.

She dreamed of traveling and joined the Army at the age of 17. Upon returning, she attended Ricks College and BYU. Married for a short time, she had her “two angels”, Lisa Lorraine and Nathan James. She loved beyond measure, had unmovable loyalty, an internal courage to push forward, forgiveness with absolute forgetting, and Christ-like charity to all.

Working 2 jobs most of her life to make ends meet, she never had much for herself. It brought her joy to give money and trinkets freely – even until the very day she passed. More importantly, she had a gift for seeing the beauty in others, then saying something uplifting about that to whomever crossed her path. Those words were powerful because they were filled with the light of God.

She had a deep and trusting daily relationship with Heavenly Father and our Savior. She emulated Him by the way she lived.

Raising 2 children alone, she then, incredibly, found the time to help, love, and support the raising of her 5 precious grandchildren: Cole, Austin, Scarlet, Stryder, and Ivy. And was once again enjoying her two great-grandchildren – Caelyn and Brayden.

She has deeply missed many loved ones who have already transitioned to the next life. We are left to mourn the loss of her golden spirit, yet we know her sorrows are done, and her joy is full. “Well done, thy good and faithful servant.”

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens 2864 S 5th Avenue, Pocatello, ID. We will be honoring her by having a graveside service and an open mic to share stories.

Services are under the direction of Wilks Funeral Homes in Chubbuck, Idaho.
