Carol W. Malmstrom, 88, was born August 9, 1937, and passed away May 5, 2026. She was born to Mary and Carl Wendel and was one of eight children. She later married Frank Malmstrom in the Logan Temple in 1962 and together they have six children. Carol loved working on the farm with Frank. She loved canning, baking, quilting, and cooking. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved strongly, forgave quickly, and was a loyal friend. Carol had a strong testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and led by example. We will miss all that she was. She was a great lady and as tough as they come.
Survived by children: Jana, Kendel, Larry, Suzanne (Norm) Bateman, John (Shelley), Sheryl (Mike) Rozema, 16 grandchildren and 8.5 great-grandchildren, Sisters: Marilyn Richards, Linda Dietz, Joyce Brown, and brother Glen, in addition to many in-laws, nieces, and nephews, Daisy and a fat cat named Henry who she secretly liked.
Preceded in death by her husband, Frank, parents, brothers, a sister, many family members, and lots of good friends.
Funeral services will be held at McDougal Funeral Home, located at 4330 S. Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah on Monday, May 11, 2026, beginning at 10:30 AM with a viewing that morning from 9:00 - 10:30. Grave dedication and interment will be at the West Jordan City Cemetery.
