Charlotte Ann Wheelwright Frantz, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 3rd, 2025.

Born on August 17th, 1939, in Park City, Utah, Charlotte was the second of four daughters born to Lola Clayburn Wheelwright and Farrel John Wheelwright. After graduating from Park City High School in 1957, she married the love of her life Gary James Frantz on Aug 2, 1958. After getting married, the couple began a family and welcomed 3 children: Gary Don, Bradlee Dean, and Jamie Ann. Charlotte was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she and Gary were sealed for time and eternity on June 2nd, 1967. Charlotte was an amazing mother, a die-hard BYU fan, possessed a brilliant sense of humor, and was completely devoted to her family. In addition to raising her own kids, Charlotte also helped watch many of her nieces and nephews as part of a very tight-knit Park City family. Later in life, when she became a grandmother, she was a constant feature in her grandchildren’s lives. She could be routinely relied upon to be at every football game, baseball game, swim meet, bike race, and dance performance that she could attend. Charlotte loved traveling the world with her family and friends and was an avid knitter and crochetter. Charlotte made dishcloths, blankets, baby blankets, burp cloths, and Christmas ornaments for her entire family until shortly before her death.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her Husband of 62 years Gary James Frantz, parents Lola and Farrel Wheelwright, sister Linda Reed, son Bradlee Dean Frantz, and grandson Weston Jake Frantz.

Charlotte is survived by sisters Mary Lou Toly and Pamela Sue Wheelwright, children Gary Don (Brooke) Frantz and Jamie Ann Frantz Sundquist, grandchildren J Taylor Frantz, Joel Sundquist, Cody Frantz, Erike McCoy, Kacey Harline, Chase Frantz, and Aspen Frantz, several nieces and nephews, and numerous great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held in Charlotte’s honor on Saturday, January 11th, 2025 beginning at 2:00 pm at Memorial Estates in Sandy, UT.
