Our cherished son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and cousin Christian Evan Wright, age 26, passed away on Saturday December 17, 2022. Christian was born on March 28, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Debra Jo Peay.

From a very young age Christian had an amazing imagination and could spend hours entertaining himself. He loved all types of games. Christian created his own game for his siblings called Champions at the age of 13 and desired to make games for a living. He loved Batman, DC Comics, and collecting Funko’s. He enjoyed Overwatch and cheering for Seoul Dynasty.

At the age of 5, Christian moved to Chino Valley, Arizona where he attended Territorial Elementary School. In Arizona, Christian played baseball, basketball and soccer. While he liked all sports, Christian loved soccer and enjoyed playing on his club team. During this time, Christian also became a big brother to Kenny, Dylan, and Jorja. Christian loved being a big brother and was very protective of his siblings.

At the age of 11, Christian moved to Provo, Utah with his mom and siblings. Christian became the man of the house and took on many responsibilities caring for them. In Provo, Christian attended Timpanogos Elementary where he won the Presidential Award, the National Fitness Award, and the Hope of America Award. He also attended Dixon Middle School.

At 14, Christian moved to Pleasant Grove, Utah where he attended PG Jr. High School and High School. He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 2014. Christian’s first job was refereeing youth soccer for PG rec center which he did for 2 seasons. Upon entering high school, Christian discovered drama. He performed in and directed multiple plays and productions, but his favorite was playing Peter Pan’s shadow in Peter Pan. Christian took third place in the State Drama Competition for a dramatic scene in his junior year. His Senior year he was drama club president and help led the PG drama department to a first-place win at State. He was accepted into SUU’s theatre program but sadly never attended. Following graduation, Christian travel to New York and attended 10 Broadway shows in 6 days. He discovered a love for Junior’s Cheesecake and was planning a trip back to NY in 2023 with his mom.

Christian started working for Pleasant Grove’s Macey’s Grocery Store at 16. During his time there, he was a bagger, cashier, front-end supervisor, stocker, and finally dairy manager. He loved working there and especially liked being the Macey’s Monkey. Christian continued his career in the grocery service working for 6 different stores over 10 years. He was the frozen food manager at Smith’s at the time of his death.

Christian is survived by his mom Debra Jo (Cliff) Carty, his siblings Kenny, Dylan, and Jorja Aubart, his niece Lucha Jay, his father Darrel Patrick Wright Jr., and his grandparents Laura Jo (Glen) Marx and JR Peay. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Christian had the best smile and could light up a room. He was his mother’s greatest joy and will forever be missed. Momma loves you.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2022. A viewing from 9 to 11 am with the funeral following immediately after at the LDS Chapel located at 2064 South 800 West, Woods Cross, UT 84087. Burial will be at 1:30 pm at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery located at 500 North 100 West Pleasant Grove, UT 84062.
