Connor Hedman, 17, of West Jordan, UT, passed away on January 3rd. He will be deeply missed until we reunite in the hereafter.
Born on December 15, 2007, in Ogden, UT, Connor was adopted on December 12, 2013, by Casey and Rachel Hedman and sealed to his family for eternity at the Bountiful Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on January 10, 2014 along with his younger brother, Jaden. Later, the family was sealed with Alexis at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple on June 11, 2016.
Connor was creative, intelligent, and ambitious. He dreamed of designing high-end shoes cherished by athletes and writing lyrics for rappers and singers. He did get to record one of his songs in a studio. A natural storyteller, Connor could spin vivid, imaginative tales on the spot, often leaving his listeners inspired.
His fascination with cars began in childhood, as he organized Hot Wheels by color, make, and model. Over the years, he developed a love for vintage sports cars and considered careers in mechanics or electrical work.
An avid reader, Connor enjoyed Young Adult literature like Michael Vey, The Hunger Games, and The Maze Runner. He excelled academically and loved exploring creative outlets, including Urban Art and painting. He and his brother Jaden honed their artistic talents at the Art Cottage in West Jordan, expanding from colored pencils to watercolor and acrylics.
Connor enjoyed fishing, camping, and skateboarding. Known for his playful sense of humor, he brought joy to Nerf Wars and kickball games with his monkey noises and unpredictable antics. He participated in soccer, earned his Orange Belt in karate, and relished a good adventure. Connor is survived by his loving parents, Casey and Rachel Hedman; siblings, Jaden and Alexis; grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
