COWBOY TOUGH

David Keith Thorpe, an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021. He was born June 29, 1950 in Murray, Utah to James (Jim) and Sarah Ruth Thorpe. He later married his sweetheart, Nora (Hunt) Bunting, and created a wonderful family during the 56 years they spent together.

Anyone that knew Dave, knew Nora and his family was his first passion, then his love for his guitars and horses came next. You could always find him playing a song at the kitchen table or riding horses up the canyon. He also enjoyed mountain manning, hunting, and camping. Later on in life his passion shifted to classic cars and showing them. His 1951 Ford Vic became his pride and joy. There’s many roads across the state with his tire rubber still on them thanks to him not being able to resist those burnouts. His love in his faith also grew over the years, so much so that he took his bride to the temple to be sealed for time and all eternity. He heavily relied upon Christ during his battle and until he was peacefully reunited with his loved ones above.

He was a selfless man that would give anyone the shirt off his back and he truly touched the lives of those around him. Many of his relationships started with him lending a helping hand to a stranger in need. He worked hard but loved his family and friends even harder. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Dave is proceeded in death by his parents Jim and Ruth, brother Ray, and sister Diane. He is survived by his brother Dick, wife Nora, children Sherry (Gary) Martinez, David Lee, Justin (Jen), Casey (Adrian), Jeh (Bobbie), as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
