Dian L. Johnson Mouser, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away November 27, 2024 in Salt Lake City of causes incident to age.
Dian was born in American Falls, Idaho on February 18, 1939 to V. Dick Johnson and Dorothy Griffith Johnson and was the oldest of 4 girls. Shortly after birth, her family moved to Salt Lake City. Her father and mother were both school teachers and instilled an appreciation for education. She attended Garfield Elementary, Hillside Jr. High, and graduated from South High in 1957. Following high school, she attended Brigham Young University. In 1960, she met Doyle Mouser. They were married in Las Vegas on April 2, 1960, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Dian and Doyle were later divorced after 49 years of marriage.
Dian was a devoted mother and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served in many callings including Relief Society President, Primary President, and Stake Young Women’s Presidency. She will best be remembered for her generosity and devotion to her family.
Dian is survived by her daughter, Kim Michelle Cundick (Dave), grandchildren; Dustin Cundick, Katie Richards (Jordan), Shaunna Thompson (Scott), Kenny Cundick (Megan), Hayden Cundick (Tyler Larsen), Michael Mouser (Emily), 16 great grandchildren and sister Shaunna Clark (Rick). She was preceded in death by her son, Michael D. Mouser (Karin), sister Connie Maloney (Frank) and sister Judy Springmeyer (Harry).
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 11th from 10:00 to 10:45 followed by a funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. at the Parleys Fifth Ward Chapel (2625 Stringham Ave., Salt Lake City). Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
