Doris Mae Robinson

Dec 27, 1932 – Nov 3, 2026

Doris Robinson, age 93 yrs old, passed away on Nov 3rd, 2026, in her home surrounded by her family. She so longed to be with her loving spouse, Eugene Robinson, to whom she was married to for 71 yrs when he passed away in 2021.

Doris was born on Dec 27, 1932 in Lindsay, CA to her wonderful parents Lola Mae Betts and John Henry Betts. She spent her childhood in the Central Valley of California where she attended school. She was a student at Roosevelt High School in Fresno, CA when, at just 16 yrs old, she met the love of her life, Eugene Robinson. They married on July 23rd, 1949 and began their adventurous life. Doris spent 32 yrs as the Food Accounting Supervisor for Fresno City Schools before she retired and continued to travel with her love.

Together, Doris and Gene spent their 71 yrs with weekend camping trips, fishing, long summer vacations and several world cruises. Most of all though, they loved to ride their motorcycle. They traveled the US on their Gold Wing towing a tent trailer then traded that in for their Harley, which they spent many hours on.

Doris and Gene spent several years living in the Palm Springs area then moved to Fresno, CA to be closer to their daughter, Terri and family. They spent 15 years with Terri and Marty and family where they continued to take daily trips on their Harley, spent time with their grandchildren and the dogs they came to love. They then ventured out and moved to St. George, UT in 2019 where they spent their last years.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Terri Hinshaw (Marty) and Cathy Robinson; grandchildren, Ashley, Elizabeth, Emma, Brandy, Nathaniel, Shawn, and Kerri; great-grandchildren, Aria, Ayla, Alea, Sayler, Christian ,Jonah, Katie and Chad; along with several nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her lifelong love, Gene Robinson; her amazing parents, John and Lola Betts; and her siblings, Art Betts, John Betts and Shirley Garrett. She loved her family very much and missed them all.

Terri and Marty were privileged to be her caretakers the last four years of her life, but had great help these past couple difficult weeks from the staff at Dixie Hospice who went above and beyond to help her through. For that, we are so grateful.
