Elizabeth (Beth) Henderson was born in Seaham Harbor. Durham, England to Thomas Allen and Ivy Cook. Her family soon moved to Wallsend just outside of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Beth enjoyed a wonderful childhood with her three brothers (Jim, Tommy and Billy) and her sister, Leslie. The outbreak of World War II found them spending their nights in their personal bomb shelter and even dodging unexploded bombs in the street. After the war and in her teen years, Beth enjoyed dancing and joined a cycling club at the invitation of her future husband, John (Jack) Henderson. The couple were married in 1952 (later sealed in the London Temple in 1959) and received their first son, Alan, while residing in Manchester. Their 2nd boy, Tony, joined the family in Middlesborough and Chris came along in 1960 in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

In 1965, Beth and John courageously moved to America, coming immediately to Salt Lake City, where they had several acquaintances. After 3 years of challenge and adjusting to life in America, the couple bought their first and last home, where Beth resided until 2 months prior to her death on 1 June 2022 due to the effects of aging and COVID, she was 90 years old. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack, who died in 1992. Beth is survived by her 3 sons, Alan (Connie), Tony (Nancy), Chris (Susan), 8 Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
