Eric Leslie Johnson, 50, of Eagle Mountain, Utah passed away February 10, 2020 in Lehi, Utah. He was born September 6, 1969 in Murray, Utah to Merrill Lester Johnson and Carol Peay Johnson. He married April Dawn Valdez on September 5, 2012 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Eric earned his Master of Science Degree in Information Systems Management and worked as a Project Manager. He had a passion for martial arts and studied the art for many years. He owned Akai Kage Martial Arts and Self Defense school. His sense of humor was infectious and he loved making jokes and making people laugh. He loved his family fiercely and spent as much time as he could with them. He also loved traveling and scuba diving and never missed his evening bowl of ice cream. Eric loved his animals and caring for them.

He is survived by his wife, April, his children: Hannah, Paityn, Quinton, Kaiden, Erica (Tyson) White, Nicholas Johnson, Jessica Holloway, and Briana (Christopher) Haycock, his parents Merrill and Carol Johnson, his siblings: Robert (Jeanne) Johnson, Richard Johnson, Lisa (Eric) Gray, Elizabeth Johnson and Melissa (Derek) Rollins. He was preceded in death by his brother David Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Draper Eastridge Stake Center, 552 East 11400 South, Draper. A viewing will be held Monday from 6-8 PM at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and Tuesday from 9:45-10:45 AM at the church.
