Erick Alan Rosenvall, aged 93, residing in Woods Cross, Utah passed away on 19 April 2023, from age related health issues.
Alan was born on 17 March 1930 and grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah where he attended South High School and graduated in 1948. He went on to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to the British Isles from 1949 to 1951. Following his mission Alan enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean conflict. At the end of the war, he continued his service in Salt Lake where he served with the Air Force Reserves for an additional four years.
Alan enjoyed having and caring for animals. He loved raising and racing pigeons where he won several races on both a local and national level. He also had a lifelong passion for thoroughbred horses. He would raise them, train them, and help owners race them. He was well respected for his expertise and breeders from around the world would contact him to seek his council and guidance. He was a prolific writer on gospel related topics including the book “The Thirteen Tribes of Israel through History”.
He is survived by his beloved wife Peggy Rosenvall and by 8 of his 10 children.
