On Tuesday, March 30, 2021, Ersel Dean Francesco passed away unexpectedly at the age of 55 from a chronic medical condition.
Ersel was born in October 1965 in Provo, Utah to Anita Sandoval and Frank James Francesco. He received his degree from the Utah Valley University formally known as Utah Valley State College. During his studies, he met Yvonne Yazzie. They had four daughters together: Shannon, Julie, Elizabeth, and Jacquelyn.
Ersel will be remembered for his love of foosball. In 1997, Ersel made his way into the Foosball Hall of Fame Classic in Oakland, California. Ersel also loved repairing cars, BBQs, mutton dishes, his 69 Chevelle, U of U football, the Jazz, and movies. Ersel’s daughters will remember their father as a jokester, finding the good in life, and yelling “Yabba Dabba Doo!”
A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. on April 30, 2021, at the Larkin Mortuary on the corner of South Temple and 300 East in Salt Lake City, Utah. The burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetry across from the U of U Football Stadium.
