Frances Ann Seibold Andersen

Apr 1, 1941 Dec 14, 2025

Frances Ann Seibold Andersen passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, December 14, 2025, surrounded by her children and adoring husband. She was born April 1, 1941, to Norman George Seibold and Ruby Eliza Davenport in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She grew up in St. Anthony, Idaho, where she loved to swim in the Snake River and made lifelong friends.

As a sophomore, she moved to Rupert, Idaho, graduating from Minidoka High School, where she participated in Pep Club. After high school, she attended Utah State University. She took summer employment in Salt Lake City, where she met Jack Andersen on the steps of the Prescott Apartment Building. Jack was instantly smitten with her smile and wanted to get to know her. They dated for two years before he finally convinced her to marry him on September 17, 1963, in the Salt Lake Temple.

She created a beautiful environment wherever they lived, including Utah, California, Colorado, Jamaica, and Hawaii. She delighted in decorating and having things “just right,” often getting up to move an item even half an inch to ensure perfect balance. Everyone was welcome in her home, whether for a meal or for months.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving in various capacities, especially in the Primary and Young Women organizations. She had an unwavering testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Restoration of His Church. She and Jack served as full-time missionaries in the Jamaica Kingston Mission and the Hawaii Honolulu Mission.

She was a voracious reader and spent 11 years working at Deseret Book in the Cottonwood Mall. She relished discussing books and sharing recommendations with many. Fran was a master at sewing, needlepoint, cooking (even though she hated it), and decorating. She was always impeccably dressed and accessorized. She loved to smile and laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor, which she shared freely, fostering the same in her children.

Gardening, avocado toast, the beauty of God’s creation, spectacular sunsets, any body of water, and time spent with her family filled her heart and soul. She held regular Sunday dinners for her family of more than 20 people weekly for many years. She was an excellent example of unconditional love, inclusion, and forgiveness. Gathering extended family for reunions at Alturas Lake, Idaho, and immediate family trips to Zion National Park brought her tremendous joy and created cherished memories. Above all, she treasured her family. She was a devoted companion to Jack for 62 years.

Fran faced all her challenges with dignity and grace, especially during the final months of her life while enduring difficult medical treatments. She maintained her sense of humor even in the hardest of times.

Fran is survived by her sweetheart, Jack; her children: Susan Bone (Randy), Eric Andersen (Brezzie), Angela Randle (Brian), Josh Andersen (Jill), and Mollie Sekikawa (Tony); and her grandchildren: Cassidy, Parker (Rachel), and Preston Bone; Coleman (Grace) and great-granddaughter Indigo; Max (Clara), Andrew (Eliza), Christian, and Violet Andersen; Benjamin (Lili), Emily, and Eliza Randle; Dominic, Everett, and London Andersen; and Anthony and Carter Sekikawa. She is also survived by her brothers: Richard Seibold (Karen), Jerry Seibold, and Bruce Seibold (Debbie). She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles Seibold; and her sister, Diane Seibold.
