Geraldine “Jerry” Capson passed away Monday, June 10, 2024, in Kearns, Utah. She was born March 26, 1924, to Hezekiah Baylis and Annie Jane Smart in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Arnold Louis Capson on September 24, 1947. She and Arnold raised two wonderful children, Patricia Morrison (Robert) and Michael Scott. Jerry was preceded in death by her husband, son, parents and brother. She is survived by her daughter, six grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

She began working for the phone company after graduating from South High School in the accounting department. She loved her work and coworkers, managing various areas during her forty years of service. She was a most caring and giving person, always remembering important events and handing out her “two dollar bill” presents.

She will be missed here but it is a joyous reunion where she is now.

There will be a visitation from 11:00 to 11:45 am on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City followed by graveside services at 12:30 pm at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 “N” Street, Salt Lake City.
