Glenda Jean Johnson, age 91 of Ivins, Utah, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. She was born on April 14, 1934, in Twin Groves, Idaho, to Fava Vernal Rigby Vernetta Adelaide Waldrom. She was married to David B Johnson on November 27, 1970, in Provo, Utah.

She was raised in Idaho with 6 siblings she being the youngest. She received a high school education. Had many jobs while raising five children. Her main job was being a nurse. She loved caring for people. Her nursing experience allowed her to be grandfathered into a nursing degree. Her longest job, 30 years was at the Utah State Hospital. She retired in May of 1998. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Any outdoor activities including hiking, biking, boating, backpacking and UTV riding were among her favorites. She enjoyed the many cruises and travel to Countries outside of the United States. She spent many hours tying hundreds of quilts and baking banana bread in service for others up until a few months before her death. She loved people and they were drawn to her smile and energetic personality.

She is survived by her children from her first marriage: Linda Allman Kingman of Arizona, John Brett Fowles Twain Harte of California, and Tammy (Richard) Binks of Salem, Utah; from her current marriage, Troy (Tasia) Johnson of Spanish Fork, Utah. She is also survived by her brother Jim (Marlyn) Bunker of Salt Lake City, Utah; 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her sons, Terry Roland Fowles and Mark Eugene Fowles, and her siblings, Gerry, Junior, Daisy, Chad, Donna, and Pearl.

Celebration of life will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary. 110 South Bluff Street, Saint George, Utah 84770. Interment will take place on April 28, at 1:00 p.m. at the Camp Williams Cemetery in Bluffdale, Utah.
