Howard Henry Gill passed away on November 4, 2023 in Saint George, Utah at the age of 86. He was born on May 7, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henry J. Gill and Beatrice Webb Gill.

Howard married Mary Carolyn Ballinger in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1961. Together they raised two children, William “Bill” and Mary Ann.

Howard graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. He later joined the Army and was stationed at Fort McClellan Alabama, where he met Carolyn in 1960. Howard and Carolyn later returned to Ogden, Utah to raise their family. Howard graduated from Salt Lake Community College, receiving a degree in electronics. Howard worked as a technician at Hill Airforce Base and retied after 30 years of employment.

Howard and Carolyn moved to St. George, Utah after retirement, where they enjoyed their many friends and company of members of the church. Howard enjoyed travel, him and Carolyn spent much time traveling to Mexico and Hawaii, and camping in Star Valley.

Howard is survived by his wife Mary Carolyn; sister Martha (Steve); brother David (Linda); grandson Brandon (Katie); great-granddaughter Vivian and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his father Henry; mother Beatrice; son Bill; daughter Mary Ann; brother Kenneth and sister-in-law Chris.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, located at 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah, 84123.
