Our loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and friend, James Irvin Patton, passed away peacefully at his home in West Valley City, UT on September 6th, 2021 at the age of 69. He was born to Colleen Diffin and Donald Patton in Ogden, UT on February 8th, 1952.
James was the ultimate family man, who loved his wife Yvonne, aka “Sug” of 48 years, dearly. He served in the Vietnam war from July 4th 1970 - December 17th, 1971. A great jokester and storyteller. A man of integrity and character, with a big heart, he would give the shirt off his back. He was god-fearing and loved reading his scriptures. He was a father and inspiration to all; most importantly, he was his grandchildren/great grandchildren’ biggest fan.
James is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne Patton; his children, Pamela Fitch (Robert), Amy Patton-Alvillar (Mike), Kenneth Patton; Grandchildren, Morgan (Tyson), Megan (Luis), Mashayla, Jamie, Jodi (Kelly), Jacob, Justin (Sarai), Tabytha, Grace, Charlee; Great Grandchildren, Paxton, Coleston, Emily, Sophia, Sicilia, Sebastian, Aailiyah, Ethan, Mason, Joslyn, Jesse, Kannon, Nixxon, Corra, Adalynn, Aubri.
He is proceeded in death by son Duane, Mother Colleen, Father Donald, brother Dennis Patton, sister Reyann Kilfoyle, brother-in-law Robert Morgan, Niece Lessie Woods, among many other loved ones.
Funeral services will be held on Friday September 17th, 2021 at Memorial Redwood Mortuary (6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT) viewing from 9:00AM – 10:00AM with services to follow 10:00AM – 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Camp Williams (17111 S. 1700 W., Bluffdale, UT) at 12:00PM.
