Jayden Scott Nilsson February 23, 1999 – February 6, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jayden Scott Nilsson, who left this world on February 6, 2025, at the age of 25. Though his time here was short, his impact was immeasurable.

Jayden was born on February 23, 1999, a bright light in the lives of those who knew him. He was a son, a brother, and a friend who carried an unshakable faith in God’s love and grace. Jayden lived with a heart full of compassion, always striving to lift up those who felt lost and broken. He believed in second chances, redemption, and the power of hope, sharing encouragement with anyone who needed it.

Jayden was known for his good looks, funny sense of humor, huge heart, and a love for animals. Some of his best childhood memories were spent up in the hills of New Harmony with his sisters and dogs, BB guns in hand, creating adventures, and making memories that would last a lifetime. His Napoleon Dynamite impersonations were spot on, bringing endless laughter to his friends and family.

A natural athlete, Jayden excelled at soccer, moving with effortless skill and determination. But beyond his talents and humor, Jayden had a heart overflowing with empathy. No matter what he was going through, he never hesitated to give what little he had to those less fortunate, always putting others before himself. Jayden had a passion for making videos about God and spreading the gospel of love to those who felt hopeless and alone.

Even though Jayden carried the weight of the world on his shoulders, he never gave up or grew bitter. He fought through his struggles with quiet strength, pushing forward every day, determined to overcome whatever came his way. His love for the gym wasn’t just about fitness—it was about the people. The friendships he built and the support he found in his recovery journey meant the world to him, and he deeply valued every person who walked that path with him.

Jayden found great strength in his family and was a protector and source of inspiration to his loved ones. He is survived by his parents Steve and Megan Sargent, James Nilsson, Jerald Black and his siblings,Aspen Rose Nilsson, Avery Anne Nilsson, Brooklyn Grace Nilsson, Mariah Sargent and McKenzie Nicole Mazza.

Jayden’s life was a testament to his unwavering faith and his desire to bring light to the darkest places. He knew that life could be hard, but he also knew that God’s love was greater than any struggle. He never hesitated to remind others that they were worthy, loved, and never alone.

Though our hearts ache with his loss, we find peace in knowing that Jayden is now in the arms of his Heavenly Father, surrounded by eternal love and light. His legacy of faith, strength, and hope will live on in the lives he touched.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all who showed Jayden kindness and love throughout his life. Your support and compassion meant more than words can express.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18

Jayden, your faith moved mountains, your love healed hearts, and your spirit will live on forever. You will never be forgotten.
