Jeff Wheeler passed away this year in Ogden, Utah.
Son of Betty Marie and Harold Grover Wheeler, he was born and raised in Ogden. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1969 and served as a missionary The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Central Atlantic States Mission from 1970-1971. He married Lael Dunn in 1973 and they had 5 children together.
As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Jeff's life was dedicated to providing pain relief to his patients. He graduated from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1978 and never stopped practicing. He served as President of the Utah Chiropractic Association from 1985-1986 and represented Utah as the American Chiropractic Association's state delegate from 1989-2004.
Jeff is best remembered for his cheerful personality and always making others feel welcome in his company. Some of his greatest joys were golfing, aiding neighbors through his church callings, spending time at the family cabin, politics, woodworking, going on family vacations, playing Skip-Bo, cooking family dinners, and cracking corny jokes.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Lael, and their children Quint, Schaun, Chelsea, Elyse, Shaylee, as well as 10 beloved grandchildren.
There will be a private ceremony for immediate family to spread his ashes on Father's Day. For those of you who would like to pass along your condolences or share your memories of Jeff, please email JPWmemory@gmail.com. Due to the unexpected nature of his passing and subsequent inability to hold a public memorial, hearing stories about our father would be a great comfort to us.
All who wish to celebrate his life are invited to hit a bucket of balls at their local golf course in his memory.
