Jeffrey Stephen Price, our superman and devoted husband, father, and “Papa” passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024 at the age of 60 after a courageous four-year battle with brain cancer. His love for his family, and his resilience and determination to beat his cancer kept him
going the past four years.
Jeff was born on June 17, 1964, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to his parents Larry and Suzanne Price. He grew up in Salt Lake City, in the Sugarhouse area, where he made lifelong friendships and developed a deep love for athletics. He attended and graduated from Highland High School in
1983, playing on their football team. Even as an only child, Jeff grew up with a strong sense of family and a passion for sports that defined much of his life. He took great pride in coaching his son and was a dedicated supporter at his grandsons’ games, never missing a moment to cheer them on.
On February 27, 1999, Jeffrey married his “sweetie,” and together they created a life filled with love, laughter, traveling, and many lasting memories. Jeffery was a devoted father to two daughters and one son, and a proud Papa to two grandsons and three granddaughters. He was always the cornerstone of his family; always present at every event and celebration.
In addition to his love of family and sports, Jeffrey loved NASCAR racing, camping trips in his fifth-wheel, and vacations to Mexico. He was an extremely hard worker, always keeping busy doing his yard, cleaning his cars, and helping all his children with their “fix-it” needs. He was
also a devoted employee to Aramark Uniforms for 30 years, when he was forced to retire with his diagnosis.
Jeffrey was not just a cancer patient; he was a warrior, a fighter who faced illness with unparalleled strength and determination. His battle against cancer inspired everyone who knew him, showing the true measure of his character. Even as the cancer progressed, Jeffrey never
complained and faced the next challenge with such courage. We will miss him terribly, but find peace and comfort knowing he is no longer in pain, and reunited again with his parents in eternal peace.
Jeff is survived by his wife Maria “Luly” Price, his daughter Whitney (Mike) Smith, Kelsey (Justin) Higgins, and Jamison Jeffrey Price. He is also survived by his five grandchildren: Finley, Eli, Rosie, Elsie and Reese. He is preceded in death by his parents Larry and Suzanne Price.
