It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Son Jerome Edwin Schmick, Jr. on October 14, 2024, from complications from oral cancer, at the age of 44. Jerome was born on December 18, 1979, at Hill AFB, Clearfield UT.

Jerome is survived by his parents Jerome E Schmick, Sr & Gloria (Hand) Schmick, sisters Rebecca L (Schmick) Sessions and their son Matthew, Valerie K (Schmick) Jackson and her daughter, Monica and her sons Don Jr and Joshua, and Jerome’s daughter Kristin (Schmick) Rivard and grandson, Justin.

Jerome always considered Ogden as his home and leaves behind many friends that he has known for over 20 years. You know who you are and he'll see you again "on the other side".

Jerome’s life had its ups, downs and addictions. Through it all he always tried to move forward. He loved hiking and the outdoors. During the last few months, he revived his love of rocks and crystals and built an impressive collection of them.

We would like to thank Intermountain Hospice for their care for his last couple of weeks. Also, a special thank you to Synchronicities, Sandy, UT for their care and compassion for Jerome during the past couple of months. Jerome loved it there.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sandy, UT on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 2 PM.
