JR was born June 27, 1953 in Pittsburg Pennsylvania, to John and Freda Riddle. He was the seventh out of twelve kids. The family moved out west to Utah in 1965 to be sealed in the temple. Although JR did not enjoy or attend church, his faith in God was shared at times with those who knew him best.

The family settled in Kearns where they had great times. JR received the honor of earning his eagle scout at the young age of 13, with his brothers Eugene (18) and Richard (16). This is a testament to his competitive nature and spirit of excellence.

In his high school years JR developed an affinity for fast cars that became a life long hobby and legacy he passed on. He loved to drive fast and show off, two well known Riddle traits.

JR always wore fancy boots, fancy watches and loved the finer things in life. He was most known though, for his generous heart and helping hands. He would give just about anything to anybody in need. If he saw a need, he did his best to fill it. Helping countless families, his own, neighbors and customers. Probably another well-known Riddle trait.

He was a family man and would always show up for his family. He loved having his family over for big pool parties, Christmas celebrations and just to BBQ hang out.

He had a unique ability to pass on man skills in a fun and challenging way, just ask any young man, or women that spent time under his tutelage. He was always teaching someone how to do something. He had an incredible work ethic and drive. He insisted on that for others around him. He believed in keeping things neat and clean, especially your vehicles.

He loved all the children he was around and always took time to play and tease. He was the cutest and tenderest grandpa, he even knew how to soothe a colicky baby. He made sure to spoil on every birthday and Christmas. His grandkids also had the fancy cars on the block and usually several to choose from.

He was a self-made man and ran a successful remodeling company up until the time he was unable to work due to his illness.

He is survived by his partner Danna Dirkes and their children Sara and Austin Stoker, Bryan Dirkes; his second wife Penny Nelson and their children Richard and Nicole Allred, Dawson and Abby Riddle; His first wife Jillyn Riddle and their children Jerry and Hollie Riddle; 9 grandchildren, 7 brothers, 4 sisters and their families.

He was proceeded in death by his daughters Jada and Jamie Riddle; parents John and Freda Riddle, nephews Beau Riddle and Tyrone Riddle.
