Jordan was born on June 28, 1977 to Russell Dean Halling and LaRene Pack Halling in Ogden, Utah, at McKay-Dee Hospital, where his father, worked, He was the third of four children, joining older brothers Jason and Brian, and later welcoming his younger sister Emily.

Jordan lost his father at just three years old. His mother, LaRene, later married David Petersen, who became a loving bonus father, Jordan also gained three bonus siblings: Brad, Wendi, and Ric that added more love and laughter into his life.

Jordan graduated from Alta High School, in 1995, and went on to become a registered nurse, specializing in hospice care. His deep compassion, gentle nature, and calming presence made him a cherished caregiver to many during their final moments.

In 2011, Jordan married Natalie Bowen and gained a bonus son Branden and together, they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Addison and Avery. Though their marriage ended, Jordan’s girls became the light of his life.

Jordan had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in nature. Whether camping, hiking, or skiing—on both snow and water—he embraced adventure with friends and family. Jordan taught himself to play the guitar and was known for making up songs as he went. He will be remembered for his big smile and huge heart.

Jordan completed his mission on this earth on Oct 18 2025. His legacy of kindness, strength, and love lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know him.

He will be dearly missed.

Jordan will be interred at Larkin Memorial Gardens
