A door has opened, and a precious son has returned to his heavenly home. Junior Elroy Schultz stepped over that threshold on Sunday Oct 17, 2021.
He was born on July 9, 1932 in Moore Idaho the son of Elroy Schultz and Opal Jensen. He married Nila Colleen Rawlings on Oct 23, 1964 in the Salt Lake Temple. Elroy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as a volunteer in the Bountiful temple and as a clerk in two ward bishoprics.
He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 36 years of service working as a civilian employee repairing the instrument panels of F16 fighter jets. He received several awards for his work.
He is survived by his wife Nila Colleen, sons Brian (Barb), Corey (Cheryl), and Eric (Elizabeth/Liz), 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren as well as his sisters Verla Cooper, Leora Riggan, and brother Melvin Schultz. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Raymond and La Vern Schultz.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 23rd, from 9:45-10:45am at 1450 South 350 West, Bountiful, Utah. Services will follow immediately after at 11am.
