Karen Strong Ith, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on April 7, 1944, Karen lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and love for her family and friends.

Karen, along with her sister Judy, operated Dance Concepts for many years, a place where she touched the lives of countless young people. Her generosity and her genuine care for each student left a lasting impact on generations of dancers and their families.

“Someday I'll wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far behind me.”

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Ith, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her cherished daughter Amy. She is survived by her son Scott, her daughter Tracy, and four adored grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of caring and love.

An informal memorial celebrating Karen’s life will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, July 18, at the meetinghouse located at 8117 South Leslie Drive (3905 West), West Jordan, Utah. Friends, family, and all who were touched by Karen’s life and work are warmly invited to attend.

Karen will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the many lives she helped to shape and the love she so freely gave.
