Kasie Lewis Wright, 50, died on July 11, 2024 in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on October 21, 1973 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Kathy L Ontiveros Gipson and Joseph E. Lewis.

Kasie was very intelligent. She had a passion for reading and the strongest desire to always be learning something new. She enjoyed camping and taking care of her yard in the summer. She loved music, going to concerts and listening to live music around the campfire. She graduated from West Jordan High school, Class of 1991 and proceeded to work within various fields.

Kasie loved to study her family genealogy and over the years she had collected a great deal of documentation and records associated with her family's ancestry.

Kasie married Robert Wright in 2004, and together, they raised their daughter Ashlon Beth Wright. They enjoyed their neighbors, friends, and the beautiful backyard of their home for the better part of 20 years. Kasie was known to give the best advice, always backed by logical reasoning. She was a force to be reckoned with and her honest advice, big smile and contagious laugh will surely be missed by many.

She is survived by her daughter Ashlon Wright (Chloe), stepfather Gene Gipson, stepmother Jody Lewis Butcher and her siblings, Wesley Lewis, Alex Lewis, Sham Sorenson, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as her life-long best friend Nicole Carter. She also leaves behind her loving partner and caregiver for the past few years, Tracy Moksnes and his family.

She is preceded in death by her father Joe E Lewis, mother Kathy Ontiveros Gipson, brother JD Lewis and sister Cindy Jo Lewis (Cappicculli), her grandparents, cousin, and beloved aunts and uncles.

Services will be held on Saturday July 20, 2024 at 3:30 pm at Memorial Murray Mortuary 5850 South 900 East Murray Utah 84121. There will be a Celebration of Life held directly after the services from 5:00-9:00 pm at 6871 South 1495 East Salt Lake City, Utah 84121 where food will be served.
