1962 ~ 2017

Kathy Lynn Kleinman, 55, passed away after her four-year-fight with ovarian cancer. Her will was never shaken, but her body stopped on 13 December 2017 at home surrounded by her loved family and friends.

Kathy was born 1 January 1962, In Escondido, California to Bill and Gloria Case, a middle child to her two sisters Linda and Laura. Kathy had a passion and an amazing gift for ballet. She performed in Ballet West's The Nutcracker in various roles for 8 years and studied under its founder, Mr. William Christiansen.

Her family and friends were her world. In the summer, she could be found gardening and spending late nights around the fire pit where many stories were shared and many a tree were burnt. She enjoyed cooking for an army and cards games around the dinner table where snack bowls were never empty, reading bedtime stories to her grandkids and smothering them with love.

Her life was lived beside her best friend and true love, Dave, her husband of 28 years. They worked together as small business owners and raised three boys together. Her life was a true love story that only a few could dream of.

Kathy is preceded in death by her father Bill Case and survived by her mother Gloria Case; sisters Linda Case and Laura Hallman; her true love and husband Dave Kleinman; sons Tyler, Kade and Kael; daughter-in-law Tatiana; and grandchildren Carter and Aubrey.

The family would like to thank the hard work and dedication of the doctors, nurses, and staff of Utah Cancer Specialists at IMC, and the compassionate care from Intermountain Home Care and Hospice. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart felt forms from too many people to name individually. The generosity is overwhelming.

As per Kathy's strict guidance her body was donated for research to the U of U medical school where even after death, her generosity and selflessness continues to help others. At her request there will be no service, however a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
