Kemry Alexander Riggins passed away December 3, 2024 after a hard fought battle with addiction. He was only 26 years old and has left an immense hole in the hearts of those who know and love him.
Kemry was born in West Jordan, Utah on April 15, 1998, and he was immediately loved by his parents and family. He grew up in Salt Lake Valley, splitting his time between his mom’s and dad’s homes. He had a large extended family and enjoyed spending time with his cousins and friends. Whether skateboarding, playing football or making his zombie movies, he enjoyed his childhood and was a very happy child. Kemry played football for Alta High School and when he wasn’t playing football or lifting weights, he dreamed of being a YouTube star and spent his time playing and recording his gaming. As Kemry got older, he enjoyed traveling and took many trips with his dad and younger brother. He loved the Utah Utes football team and going to the games with his family. Kemry enjoyed hiking and being outdoors and was a computer whiz. Kemry was self-taught in the many things he was passionate about and could figure out anything he put his mind to. Kemry always jumped feet first into any endeavor and learned as he went along. His pride and joy was his gaming PC he built over the past year. Kemry was smart, loving, and passionate. His step father recently said he was a force of nature, and he was. His energy and personality filled every room he walked into. We will all miss being around him. We will miss his big laugh and his big, strong hugs he gave when he said hello, but especially the hugs he gave when he would say goodbye. He would hug you and hold on, not wanting to let go and those special hugs will be desperately missed.
Kemry is survived by his father Joshua Riggins, mother Heather Lopez and step father Bob Lopez. His brothers Caelan and Connor and his little sister Kenzie. Grandparents Julie and Albert Lozano, William Riggins and Valerie Gillette, and Roberta Lopez along with so many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Alex Lopez, great grandparents Russell and Betsy Dutt, great grandmother Phyllis Nelson, and his beloved dog Bella.
