Kenneth Garn Milar, age 74, of Tooele, Utah, passed away on April 13, 2026. He was born on June 3, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Thomas Garn Milar and Dorothy Gust.
Kenneth was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Milar (whom he married on July 14, 1990, in West Valley City). He is also survived by the grandson he helped raise, Levi Howard Larsen (wife Bailey Larsen). He is further survived by his daughters, Jodie Lynne Carter and Christie Lea Larsen; his sons, Daniel Larsen (Pauline), and David Leroy Larsen (Nina); six grandchildren: Masen, Colby, Angel, Davina, and Damien; and four great-grandchildren: Kaiven, Mikey and Gideon.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Garn Milar; his mother, Dorothy Gust; his sister, Linda Milar Rodeback; and his brother-in-law, Winn Noyes.
Kenneth was highly educated, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Mathematics. He also trained as a paramedic and medical specialist. He served as a flight paramedic with an air rescue unit and dedicated much of his life to education and the well-being of others.
While serving in the U.S. Army in Germany, Kenneth received several honors, including the Honorable Character of Service Award, the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Aircraft Crewman’s Badge, and the Expert M16 Rifle Bar. He was honorably discharged and later continued serving in government employment.
Kenneth had a deep love for his family and friends. He was known for offering wise advice and was always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and had a great love for animals.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the LDS church in Tooele, located at 691 E. Cedarview. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park (Camp Williams), 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah 84065.
Kenneth will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
