Kristina Marie Halstead, 34, died after a courageous and long battle with mental illness, Thursday, December 19, 2019, in Draper, UT.
Kristina was born on March 6, 1985, in Los Alamitos, CA. She grew up in Cedar City UT, where she obtained her GED and attended SUU while supporting herself as a youth rehab mentor/aid, and waitress.
Krissy was strong-minded, soft-hearted, loyal, free-willed, spontaneous, she bubbled with uniqueness and a contagious smile. Naturally, in her career, she shined as a top sales rep in her region while working for T-Mobile. She became a mother to Kashton Prestwich on August 21, 2011. Kristina is proud of Kashton, she loves him with all her heart, she wanted a life with him and fought her illness for him with such beautiful strength.
Kristina will always be remembered for her spirit, charisma, heart, love, and loyalty to her family.
Kristina was preceded in death by her son’s father and boyfriend Ryan Prestwich, grandparents Madeline Winter, Lester and Grace Halstead and Cousin Brandi Halstead.
Kristina is survived by her cherished son Kashton Prestwich, her mother Debra Cantrell, her parents Arilyn and Thomas Alex Halstead and her family Alex, Carissa and Theodore Halstead; Vanessa, Brian, Jackson, Ty, and Lincoln Ostler; William Halstead; Brooke, Nathan, Logan, Jordan, and Hope Keep; and Tommy Halstead.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday the 28th at 6156 W. Clay Hollow Ave., West Jordan, Utah, at 12:00 pm.
