Larry Glen Jensen, 75, of Millcreek, Ut passed away on August 11, 2024 following a sudden illness. He returned to his Heavenly Home surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He was born September 22, 1948 to Glen and Gladys Jensen in Jerome Idaho. He was raised in Jerome Idaho. He attended school there and graduated from Jerome High School in 1967.
In 1970, He was drafted and served as an embassy driver in Germany. After his service he attended college at the University of Idaho where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Soil Sciences in 1975. There he met and married Ann King of Richfield Idaho on August 25, 1973. They lived in Richfield where he farmed on the family farm. This union blessed their lives with 4 children-Lawrence, Jeramy, Amber, and Jacob.
On April 27, 1984 he married Cynthia Dawn Bruner of Salt Lake City. They were blessed with 4 children- Willem, Simon, Crikette, and Rashelle. Larry worked for Wards Cheese, later bought out by Glanbia Foods, for 22 years. He also had a love for farming and worked the family farm. He later purchased a farm in Shoshone, ID. Larry enjoyed camping and fishing with his family. His children remember many trips around the country visiting family, historical sites, and national parks. He would leave “treasures “ on hiking trails for young hikers to find. In the past year he enjoyed Paint by Numbers and was giving them to his family. Larry was an active member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of LatterDay Saints.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Cindy of 40 years. His 8 children- Lawrence of Thornton CO, Jeramy of Park Hill MD, Amber(Scott) of San Marcos CA, Jacob(Delilah) of Tooele UT, Willem(Kara) of St George UT, Simon of Cedar City UT, Crikette of San Diego CA, and Rashelle of Millcreek UT. His 12 Grandchildren- Breanna Jensen, LibertyAnn Jensen, Jacob C. Jensen, MeKenzie Jensen, Jeremiah Jensen, Savannah Ritchey, Blake Ritchey, Weston Ritchey, Anna Jensen, Quinn Jensen, Covey Jensen, Evelyn Asay. He was also survived by his brother Eric Jensen, Sisters Cheryl Adamson, Yvonne Owens, and Kristi Jensen.
He is proceeded in death by his parents-Glen and Gladys Jensen, brother Charles Jensen, and 1st wife Ann King.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 am on Monday, September 2 at the Stake Center at 4220 S Jeannine Dr, Millcreek. There will be a luncheon to follow.
