Oct 15, 1937 Mar 26, 2025

LeGrande Norris Lamb, age 87, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born on October 15, 1937, in Mesa, Arizona, to Farrell Brundage Lamb and Valoise Beecroft, LeGrande graduated from Chandler High School in 1956 before pursuing his education at Brigham Young University. He served a two year mission for his Church in Great Britain. He loved his mission and spoke often of his love for the people he met during his service. LeGrande married Trudy Teichert in the Salt Lake Temple in 1967, they later divorced. LeGrande was a faithful, lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

A born entrepreneur, LeGrande built an international business career alongside his brother Don. His business ventures spanned the globe, from Hawaii to Southeast Asia and the Middle East, though his true passion emerged in the Republic of Panama, where he focused his efforts for the final three decades of his career. His fascination with the Panama Canal and dedication to restoring classic cars were hallmarks of his vibrant personality.

LeGrande's greatest legacy was his unwavering generosity and commitment to helping others and his love of his five children their spouses and his grandchildren. Despite facing numerous challenges throughout his life, he maintained an infectious smile and always prioritized the needs of others before his own. His kind nature and sense of humor touched countless lives across multiple continents. As he approached the end of his life, even though he was suffering, when asked how he was doing, he would answer with a smile, “I couldn’t be better!”

As a devoted father to Doug (Becky), Christine (Steve), Curtis (Traci), Jason (Kristy), and Amy (Brian), LeGrande found his greatest joy in his family life. He was an adoring grandfather to 22 grandchildren and their seven spouses, and a proud great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his brothers Jerry, Dennis, Kenny, and Jesse, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who were touched by his generous spirit. LeGrande was preceded in death by his mother Valoise Beecroft Gale and step-father Jesse Gale, brother Don, sister Suzie, step-brother Frank Gale, and step-sister Murial Smith.
