Leif Evert Dahlstrom, age 93, passed away on September 16, 2026, at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. He was born on December 15, 1932, in Kalmar, Sweden, to Axel Albert Adrian Dahlstrom and Edla Edith Matilda Karlsson.
Leif married Nina Lou Chidester in the Salt Lake Temple on November 18, 1960.
His life and interests were centered around The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was especially grateful for the opportunities he had to serve in the Jordan River Temple and later in the Salt Lake Temple.
As a metal fabricator, he worked on many temples throughout the United States, contributing to the beauty and craftsmanship of these sacred buildings. We love you, Dad, for your wonderful example.
His passion was fishing. He loved trolling in the summer and ice fishing in the winter.
He is survived by his brother, Bengt Dahlstrom; his daughter, Lisa Dahlstrom; his son, Dennis Kay (Collette Dahlstrom); one granddaughter, Lynzie (Nick) Buxton; three step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his siblings, Stig Dahlstrom, Sylvia Ouzounian, and Sten Dahlstrom, along with their spouses.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at the Hyland Lake Ward meetinghouse, 981 E. Revere Circle (5555 S.), Murray. A viewing will be held at the church from 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5, and again on Tuesday from 9:30–10:45 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
