Lola was born on November 22, 1941 to Merlin Clair and Dora Marie Poff Draper in Tremonton, Utah. She was number 5 of 11 children. Life was tumultuous sometimes, and the siblings were separated for a while, but they had a strong bond that they maintained throughout their lives.
Lola graduated from Horizonte Instruction and Training center in Salt Lake City.
Lola was married to Ire Davis for a short time. She then married Ernest Stopper, and was with him until he passed in 1993. They lived at Romney Plaza for many years. Family would go up to her apartment to watch the Days of 47 parade from her balcony.
Lola was strong willed and stubborn at times, but she also had an enormous heart, especially when it came to her dogs. She always had a dog that she doted on. She also loved her many nieces and nephews, and loved spending time with them.
