Lowell “Keith” Perry, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Born on June 5, 1938, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Keith was a loving brother, father, and grandfather who touched the lives of many with his warmth, determination, and zest for life.
Keith is survived by his brother Mike and sister Anita; his children Jeff, Kelly, Steve, Ken, Daniel, and Tina; and many beloved grandchildren.
A successful entrepreneur, Keith founded GTS, a thriving business that he nurtured with pride and dedication. Outside of work, Keith was a man of many passions. He loved boating, spending time on the water, and playing the piano, filling his home with music. Keith also had a knack for tinkering with old lawnmowers, a simple hobby that brought him joy.
Keith had a genuine love for people. He was known for striking up conversations with strangers, always eager to hear about their lives, experiences, and stories. More than just a friendly gesture, Keith truly cared about the people he met, and those who spoke with him felt heard and valued. His ability to connect with others left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.
Keith’s sense of humor was unlike anyone else’s. He had a remarkable ability to make people laugh, even in the most unexpected moments. His quick wit, playful teasing, and lighthearted approach to life brought joy to those around him and left them smiling long after the conversation ended. His humor was a special gift that will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
A true fitness enthusiast, Keith was known for his commitment to the gym, where he spent many hours each week. He was an accomplished runner, even completing several half marathons, showing his perseverance and love for challenge.
Keith’s love for travel took him to many hot and sunny places, where he enjoyed the warmth and adventure of new experiences. For the last 13 years, he made his home in Scottsdale, Arizona, though Salt Lake City always held a special place in his heart.
Keith’s greatest joy came from his family, especially his grandchildren, who he adored. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 6, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, Utah. A graveside service will follow on Monday, October 7, at 11:00 AM at the same location.
