Lynda Kay Larsen Parrish, Age 81, of Bountiful, Utah, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on April 9th, 2024. Lynda was born in Ogden, Utah, to Thorlief (Eugene) and Viola Larsen on June 7, 1942. She was the oldest of five children and graduated from Ogden High School.
She married Darwin L. Stone in May 1961 and had four sons, Shawn, Devin, Damon, and Dane. After their divorce, she married Steve Glad, and later John Parrish. Together with John, she moved to Las Vegas where she managed food service operations for various casinos before returning to Utah to be closer to family. John's passing in 2010 left a void in her life.
Known for her adventurous spirit, Lynda enjoyed all outdoor activities like skiing, boating, and fishing, and would often reminisce with her sons about those precious and fun times spent together. Above all else, Lynda cherished time spent with her sons and their families and her beautiful grandchildren. Expressing pride in their many achievements. Her vibrant personality, sense of humor, and culinary skills endeared her to friends and family. Her warmth, love, laughter, and support will be dearly missed by all who knew her but will be forever cherished.
Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Viola, husband John Parrish, and brother Michael Larsen. She is survived by her sons Darwin “Shawn” Stone, Devin “Shane” (Kara) Stone, Damon (Myrna) Stone, Dane (Holly) Stone, 10 grandchildren and her siblings: Joyce Wroughton, Kathy Roth and Curt Larsen.
A family celebration of Lynda's life will be held at a later date.
