MARIA LUCINDA FIELDS
Maria Lucinda Fields, born María Lucinda Ordóñez, in Choluteca, Honduras passed away on 9 November of the current year in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. At twelve years of age she moved from Choluteca to Tegucigalpa where she resided until 1984. Lucinda finished her secondary education as an adult and continued on to more advanced studies, first as a Laboratory Technician and then receiving a Doctorate in Microbiology and Clinical Chemistry from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma of Honduras. After moving to Utah she worked for nearly 20 years with the Utah Department of Agriculture in the dairy lab until her retirement. She was married to her husband, Jim Fields, in 1982. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, and her children, Maria Elizabeth, Yadira, Alba Ena, Alba Ruth, Kenneth Lewis, and Pierre Alexander as well as her brothers Hector Efrain and Jose Luis and her sisters Juana and Martha. She was preceded in death by her sister Esperanza and her parents. She also is survived by her three grandchildren. She was a loving mother, spouse, and friend and is remembered by many for her willingness to provide comfort, support, and service to others. We are all saddened by her sudden passing.
