1952-2025

Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather Centerville, UT

Mark Reed Van Wagoner, 72, peacefully passed away at home with his family by his side on January 8, 2025.

He was born February 12, 1952 to John H. Van Wagoner and Joy Beck. He will be remembered best for his enthusiastic energy, his wickedly wild sense of humor and his big heart.

Dad married his best friend, Gayle, on May 1st 1971 in Hilo, Hawaii. Their young family grew quickly and his children served as his greatest sources of joy. Working hard and playing hard was his way of life.

He was best known as "Mark in the Morning", a broadcaster with an unmistakeable voice for over 30 years. Dad absolutely LOVED being behind a microphone. He relished the time he spent with his loyal listeners and colleagues.

Dad truly loved to play. His children, their friends, and grandchildren will always remember the countless hours of floor time, colorful jokes and unforgettable getaways.

Oh Dad - how we will miss you!!

Mark is survived by his sweetheart, Gayle, their children, Tracy (Steve Forsling), Laura (Jason Beane), Jared (Jean), April (Justin Klure), Adam (Cait), 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and many family members and cherished friends.

Services will be held Saturday, February 15th at 1pm at the LDS

Deuel Creek Ward, 690 N 400 W, Centerville, UT.

In lieu of flowers, please, "Take Care of Each Other".
