Marlene Lucille Burgess, age 83, passed away on September 17, 2021, in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on November 16, 1937, in Boyne City, Michigan to Harold Smith and Lorene J. Sanders (Hughey).
Marlene was a very dedicated working woman. She retired from Parker Packing after 35 years of hard work. She enjoyed her work friends and all the activities they have done there. Marlene enjoyed being with her family every day. She made sure her kids and grandkids were taken care of and were ok. They all meant the world to her. Marlene loved camping in her trailer and fishing. She was quite the fisher, so patient and lucky. Fishing off a boat was one of her most favorite ways of fishing. Marlene had her grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great grandkids around her all the time. She would take them to the zoo, parks, and Lagoon often. She adored them all and showed so much love to them. Marlene was cared for by Teffany, Jodie, and Laura. She was surrounded by her loved ones when she passed. She didn’t want it any other way. We love you Mom/grandma. Night, night.
