Martin, a beloved friend, family member, and bright light to all who knew them, passed away suddenly on October 29, 2025, while on vacation in San Jose, California. He was born to Elizabeth Brophy and Joseph Mihalcik in the Bronx, New York.

Known for his dedication and tireless work ethic, Martin approached every endeavor with determination and pride. Whether tackling a new project, he gave his best without hesitation. His commitment and dependability inspired those around him and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to work beside him.

Martin was charismatic and had a natural gift for connecting with people. He made friends easily and cherished those relationships deeply, always ready with a laugh. His positive spirit brought comfort and joy wherever he went.

In his free time, Martin found happiness exploring new places, enjoying good music, and spending time outdoors. Whether traveling to somewhere new or simply savoring the beauty of a quiet afternoon, he appreciated life’s simple pleasures and the experiences that made each day meaningful.

Martin leaves behind countless fond memories and a legacy of hard work, friendship, and love. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Martin was survived by his sweetheart girlfriend, brother, sisters, son, and daughter. His sweetheart girlfriend, Madge Snell, enjoyed every second of life with Martin. She said there was nothing they could not talk about, and they fit together beautifully. His son John will miss the camping trips and adventures they had together. His daughter Michelle will miss the conversations, care, and singing.

Family and friends are invited to join us in mass at 11:00 a.m., at the St Marguerite Catholic Church (15 S 7th St, Tooele, UT 84074). Also, join us for the Memorial Reception to honor Martin’s memory on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel by Salt Lake City Airport (5151 Wiley Post Way, Salt Lake City, UT).
