Michael Lindsay Barlow, 62, of Boulder, Colorado, passed away at home on April 1, 2026. He was born May 13, 1963, in O'ahu, Hawaii, to loving parents, Roger and Sherry Barlow. Mike spent his formative years exploring the landscapes of Utah, creating cherished memories with friends and family.
Mike will be remembered for his warm smile, gentle spirit, and appreciation for the outdoors, which included hiking, snowboarding, motorcycle rides, and mountain biking. He also had a deep love for live music and a passion for cooking.
From a young age, Mike displayed a unique talent for working with his hands, which guided him to a fulfilling career in the architectural woodworking industry that spanned over 40 years. A significant portion of his career was spent at Fetzer Woodworking, where he earned the title Journeyman Cabinet Maker and later became a Project Manager. During his time there, he forged many meaningful and lasting friendships, which enriched his life. His colleagues admired him not only for his exceptional talent and strong work ethic but also for his ability to mentor and guide others, leaving a positive impact on many lives. Mike's career provided him opportunities to travel worldwide, and he took great pride in the projects he helped to create.
Mike leaves behind his three beloved daughters: Lindsay L. Hughes, Stacey Dlugas, and Stephanie Barlow; his widow Jessica Elliott; five siblings: Jeffrey A. Barlow, James E. Barlow, John T. Barlow, Jake Barlow, and Christy Gourley; as well as four grandchildren: Eddie Dlugas, Jack Hughes, Garrett Dlugas, and Amelia Hughes; as well as sixteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Roger and Sherry Barlow, and his cherished dog, Lola.
To celebrate Mike’s life, family and friends are warmly invited to gather on June 13, 2026, at the picturesque Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, located near Salt Lake City. The location will be at Spruces Campground in Big Cottonwood Canyon at group site #7 between 1 and 4 pm. This gathering will provide an opportunity to share fond memories, honor his legacy, and reflect on the joy he brought into all our lives.
