Obituary: Moiselle “Mo” Tracy Terry

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025 at the age of 95.

She was born August 27, 1929 to Lawrence Joseph Tracy and Aurelia Beatrice Barnes Tracy in Yost, Utah. She was an only child and loved growing up and working on the farm with her father who was an esteemed horse trainer. After her father’s passing when she was only 14, she moved to the Salt Lake Valley with her mother. Five years later, she met and married the love of her life, Donald LaVon Terry on June 26, 1948. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on May 7, 1962. They were married for 53 years until Don passed away in 2001.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held various positions in the church with her favorite one being a primary teacher. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and just being around family. She loved putting together jigsaw puzzles and could often be seen working on more than one at a time. Her biggest puzzle was 5000 pieces and took almost a year to complete. She also loved watching Nascar races and cheering for her favorite driver.

She is survived by daughters Kathryn Cox, Donelle (Roland) Brown, and son Donald Wayne (Anita) Terry; grandchildren Steven Shane (Sharrah) Brewster, Donna Louise Brewster, Joey (Blaine) Crandall, R-Jay (Jamie) Wilde, and Daniel Ryan Terry; great-grandchildren Emalee Kathryn Brewster, Payten Cheyenne (Brendan) Towers, Parker Matthew Brewster, Brianna Marie Ramirez, Amanda Lee Crandall, Gabriel Ryan Crandall, Samuel Connor Wilde, Jackson Kale Wilde, Addison Sage Wilde, Avery Grace Wilde and Timothy Daniel Timineri; great-great grandchild Haiden Andrew Towers; brother-in-law Vern W Terry.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband; daughter Karen Terry; granddaughter Jessie Lynne Terry; great-granddaughter Dusty Ann Crandall.

The family would like to acknowledge and express gratitude to the nurses, doctors and other staff at St. George Regional Hospital and Hospice for their caring support.
